A friendly welcome is always afforded to our guests at our Mountain View Bed & Breakfast along with what can described as one of the most scenic areas in Connemara. We are surrounded on all sides with spectacular mountain views and streams making it a walker’s paradise. We are situated close to Kylemore Abbey, Connemara National Park, Croagh Patrick and Lough Corrib. A beautiful secluded sandy beach “Glaislean” is just a 20 minute drive.
Leenane Village, location for the film “The Field”, is an ideal location to spend a relaxing evening to enjoy a meal and later a drink in the village bars.
Traditional Irish music and dance can be enjoyed on weekend nights in the local Kilmilken bar just 3km from the B&B. Should you have any additional requests before or during your stay we are happy to oblige.
Location
From Galway take the N59 Clifden road. On entering Moycullen, continue straight ahead on the N59 to Oughterard. On entering Oughterard continue forward to Maam Cross. At Maam Cross turn right on to the R336 and continue to Maum. At Maum bridge turn left on to the R336 and drive 8km, turn left at the B&B sign for Mountain View which is 4km before you reach Leenane.
A walkers paradise with excellent fishing, golf, horse riding and within 20 minutes of the renowned Delphi Lodge adventure centre. nestled within the Maamturk and Partry mountain ranges.
